I’m Jessica O’Leary, a lover of good nutritious food, holistic and culinary nutrition professional, adventure seeker and some may call me the holistic nutrition cookie monster (I love a cookie but I don’t sacrifice health or taste!).

Holistic nutrition is a huge part of my life these days, but that wasn’t always the case. After years of unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits, becoming sick guided me towards a new life. I became accountable for my health and started making better choices so I could thrive and be my best! I believe in a holistic approach, taking into consideration the body, mind and spirit and I’m fascinated by the healing potential of natural, whole food and how it can be used to help individuals improve their overall health and quality of life.

I love creating tasty nutritious recipes and have shared many on my blog. I also wrote two cookbooks, Some Good and Some Good:Sweet Treats, published by Breakwater Books.

Jessica O’Leary is an award-winning Nutritional Consultant and Cookbook Author. She has been featured across many publications and media channels, including the Academy of Culinary Nutrition's From Scratch cookbooks, CBC Radio, CTV News Atlantic, Rogers TV, and the national magazine, Optimyz. Jessica is the author of the hit cookbooks, Some Good (Breakwater Books, 2018) and Some Good: Sweet Treats (Breakwater Books, 2020).


In October 2019, Jessica’s first cookbook, Some Good was a Taste Canada Award finalist in the “Health and Special Diet Cookbooks” category. For her second cookbook, Some Good: Sweet Treats, Jessica received Gold in the Reader Views Awards in 2020-2021 and was runner up for the 2021 Eric Hoffman Award. In her time working in the nutrition industry, Jessica was the winner of the 2018 Danielle Perrault Trailblazer Award, presented at the Annual Canadian Holistic Nutrition Conference.
